This two-day Cognitive Behaviour event is designed to offer practical information and techniques on utilising Cognitive Behaviour principles when working to effect change and increase personal confidence. The course is compliant with NVQ III Community Justice units, Social Care, management and staff self-development competences, and is targeted towards all members of staff and agencies.

Target Audience:

This course provides for all those who wish to develop selves and staff in thinking laterally and creatively, increasing confidence and motivation, and developing staff, management and organisations in a positive and effective way.

Objectives

By the end of the courses, participants will:

Have identified the roots theory, background and concept of Cognitive Behavior Therapy
Through discussion exercises and printouts, have explored the various elements of Cognitive Behaviour operations, including value, attitude and belief systems, and the techniques to support young offenders to assess and change their negative or anti social thinking processes
Through discussion, exercises and presentation, have rehearsed CBT methods and techniques that will assist in working with individuals and groups
Explore possibility thinking. problem solving and combating negative attitudes and behaviours
Receive handouts and checklists to support and consolidate learning
