Those who work with or facilitate groups will really enjoy this two day practical in-house groupwork programme. The course encompasses comprehensive theories and methods of working successfully with people, including those with difficult behaviour. Through discussion, presentation and exercises, participants will increase skills and techniques from planning and preparation to group delivery. The atmosphere of the course is relaxed, interactive, receptive and safe.

Target Audience:

This course provides for all those who facilitate groups, meetings and motivational teams as part of their working brief.

Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will:

Identify their anxieties, strengths and areas for improvement regarding group skills
Know their leadership styles, and how to identify the co-leader styles
Have received a basic understanding of presentation skills
Have utilised different presentation methods, including audio/visual equipment
Have engaged in role plays and scenarios related to dealing with difficult group members and situation
Have examined diversity and stereotyping considerations within the group setting
Have planned, prepared and delivered specific group tasks, and received constructive feedback.
Have received techniques for effective review and evaluation methods
