Those who work with sex offenders or vulnerable victims will find the range of Sex Offender Training courses offered both useful and invaluable. The Sex Offender training ranges from the foundation one day Sex Offender Awareness to the three day Assessment and Management of Sex Offenders course for those who work intensively with offenders. The course is run by experienced and qualified sex offender facilitators, and the atmosphere is safe and receptive. The courses are also relevant to companies and organisations who employ staff who have some contact with young people or vulnerable adults.

Target Audience:

This course provides for all those who work with those who have committed sexual offences, those who work with young people or vulnerable adults, and those who employ staff who have contact with young people or vulnerable adults.

Objectives

By the end of the courses, participants will:

Learn about why abuse occurs and the indicators that would raise risk concerns
Identify and explore the different categories of sex offending
Receive information on current legislation, including Safeguarding Children, Vulnerable Adults, Sex Offender Act 2003 and risk assessment
Discuss and identify the ways in which offenders can groom people and organisations
discover what to do and where to go when faced with a possible abuse situation
On the Intermediate and Intensive courses, receive information and exercises that relate to assessment, management and monitoring of abuse offenders
Identify how to contact and liaise with other agencies to assist in effective risk management
